A blend of film soundtracks, electronic music, contemporary jazz, and post-rock influences creates a dynamic, improvisation-driven experience for this international ensemble.

The Conservatorium van Amsterdam brought together these six musicians from Portugal, Spain, Italy, and the Netherlands, who not only became good friends but also realized they shared the desire to create a musical space where they could explore and create in their own way.

When asked about the music that moves them, they mention film soundtracks (yes, Hayao Miyazaki’s Nausicaä and the Valley of the Wind is on the list), electronic music (such as drum & bass grooves), contemporary jazz artists (including Christian Scott, Gogo Penguin, Tigran Hamasyan, and Mathias Eick), and post-rock bands like Sigur Rós and Explosions in the Sky. However, what stands out more than any specific name is the way these influences, combined with a strong improvisational component, create a powerful, rollercoaster-like experience.
