Saxophonist Sam Newbould and his bandmates met in 2016 at the Conservatorium van Amsterdam. Their shared interest in cutting-edge music brought them together, with Sam citing influences such as Radiohead, Charles Mingus, Wayne Shorter, English folk, and 20th-century classical music. Sam explains: "Coming from different parts of the world, each band member is deeply inspired by their heritage. We share the desire to place cultural differences at the heart of our music."
