Buma Cultuur promoot het Nederlandse muziekauteursrecht in zowel Nederland als haar belangrijkste exportmarkten. Buma Cultuur ondersteunt festivals (November Music, Gaudeamus, Music Meeting, North Sea Jazz Festival) en initiatieven (de landelijke Dag van de Componist, diverse compositieopdrachten) die de rol van componisten en tekstdichters in onze cultuur en samenleving benadrukken. Om Nederlandse componisten te stimuleren en verder te promoten steunt Buma Cultuur New Music NOW en organiseert daarnaast events als inJazz (in juni) en New Music Conference (in november). Deze netwerkevenementen brengen professionals werkzaam in de muziek in Nederland samen en verbinden hen met de internationale scene, maar geven ook informatie over ontwikkelingen in de muziek en de muziekbusiness. Op het gebied van populaire muziek ondersteunt Buma Cultuur zowel ESNS in januari als ADE in oktober.

Buma Cultuur supports and promotes Dutch music copyright in both The Netherlands and its key export markets as the promotional desk of collecting society BumaStemra. Buma Cultuur is supporting festivals (November Music, Gaudeamus, Music Meeting, North Sea Jazz Festival) and initiatives (the national Day of the Composer, various composition assignments) which emphasize the role of composers and lyricists in our culture and society. To stimulate and further promote Dutch composers Buma Cultuur supports New Music NOW and organizes events like inJazz (June) and New Music Conference (November). These network hubs bring together professionals working in music in the Netherlands and connect them to the international scene, but also provide information on developments in music and music business. In popular music, Buma Cultuur is supporting both ESNS in January and ADE in October.
