A unique blend of vocal, jazz, and folk influences, Alistair Payne, Fuensanta Méndez, and José Soares create a distinct sound by composing together and drawing inspiration from artists like Arvo Pärt, Björk, and Radiohead.

Vocals, alto saxophone, trumpet, and double bass: an orchestration that offers diverse sound and texture possibilities. Add to this the fact that Alistair Payne, Fuensanta Méndez, and José Soares are friends who’ve shared many larger projects, and you have the ingredients for a unique musical recipe. Expect improvised passages reminiscent of a modern chamber music group, original songs influenced by folk music, and soundscapes that mimic nature and our surroundings.

“We are inspired by the process,” says Alistair. “We are in the fortunate position of being able to compose together and bounce off each other’s ideas and influences to create a completely unique sound. Our influences span multiple musical corners. Arvo Pärt, Morton Feldman, Björk, Radiohead, Chico Buarque, Fausto, Maurice Ravel would be the tip of the iceberg.”
