This piece is part of Requiem de la Luz, a work that explores the death of the sun and the cycle of life. The central themes involve the seasons, the existence of the universe, the birth of life on earth, the evolution of our senses, and the eventual death of the sun. La última luna del primer sol delves into the cosmic relationship between the sun, the earth, and the moon, exploring the delicate balance of life in the universe. The soloists Lotte Dikken, Tine van der Weij, Lynn Eekhof, and Eva Trapman bring this piece to life, adding depth to the narrative of vulnerability and interconnectedness with nature. This work is a collaboration between Nícolas Barría González, Imre Ploeg, Bjarni Gudmundsson (Iceland), Diederik ten Böhmer (Netherlands), guitarists Alvaro Rovira Ruiz (Argentina) and Meike Aukes (Netherlands), and conductors Jonathan and Imre Ploeg.
