Ron van Effrink
Music is an experience. By listening to themes, the world around us can enter while listening. I want to try to convey that in my music.
Ron van Effrink (1959) was born in Amersfoort and lives in Veenendaal. He started to compose music in middle age. He is an autodidact, a few years ago he got lessons in counterpoint. The harmonic function is, like Debussy's, not always functional.
On October 26, 2024, my latest composition, Overture Waves of Ireland, will be performed during the Westerkerk Music in Veenendaal
