Alberto Granados
His artistic experience covers a wide range of musical activities, combining performance with composition and music theatre.
Alberto Granados Reguilón was born in Madrid (1993). He wrote music for more than 20 theatre productions working with some of the best theatre directors of Spain, including an a-caeppa musical (Iberian Gangsters, candidate for “Best composition for scene” in the Spanish National Theatre Awards 2018), plus one rock opera and one cabaret, both of them premierd in Washington DC.
He studied flute with Alessandra Rombolá. He started his studies in Philosophy in Universidad Complutense of Madrid, and afterwards he studied his Bachelor composition degree at Codarts Rotterdam with Peter Jan Wagemans, and his Master composition degree at the Amsterdam Conservarorium with R. Ayres, W. Jeths and J. Taminga, both degrees graduated Cum Laude.
His pieces have been performed by the Klang Forum Wien, Nieuwe Ensemble, Atlas Ensemble, Akom Ensemble, some of which were premiered in music halls like Muziekgebouw (Amsterdam), De Doelen (Rotterdam), Orgelpark (Amsterdam), the Dutch National Opera (Amsterdam), Bogaziçi Uuniversitesi Albert Long Hall (Istanbul), National Kaohsiung Center for the Arts (Taiwan).
