Wake The Dead
- InJazz session
A fusion of baroque instruments and modern improvisation, Wake The Dead creates a delicate world of ambient textures and glitchy electronics, led by Morris Kliphuis and Joanna Duda.
Wake The Dead is a unique blend of baroque instruments and modern improvisation, creating a delicate musical world filled with hypnotic ambient textures, glitchy electronics, and fragmented melodies, accompanied by the warm sound of ancient instruments like the traverso and viola da gamba. Bandleaders Morris Kliphuis (Netherlands) and Joanna Duda (Poland) have recorded and developed improvisations into compositions. The first performance of Wake The Dead took place in October 2022, with musicians from the Early Music department of the Royal Conservatory of The Hague.
