Brenn Luiten
Brintex Collective
- InJazz session
Brintex Collective blends British jazz, hip-hop, and electronic influences. Led by Brenn Luiten, the ensemble expanded from a trio to a full band, adding trumpet and flute for their InJazz 2023 performance, creating lush sounds with Rhodes and melodic brass.
Brintex Collective, based in Rotterdam and led by keyboardist Brenn Luiten, began as a trio and evolved into a larger ensemble over time. Inspired by British jazz, hip-hop, and electronic music, Luiten started composing his own sketches, which were developed collaboratively with the band. Today, Brintex Collective plays with five to six musicians, blending the sounds of keyboards, guitar, drums, and bass. During their performance at InJazz 2023, the addition of trumpet and flute to the original trio enriched the music, creating lush Rhodes chords and slow, melodic lines for the brass section.
