Vanbinsbergen Playstation is a flexible, playful, and colorful octet with the sound of a small big band, creating the ultimate combination of freedom and structure. Led by composer and guitarist Corri van Binsbergen, the octet features a talented ensemble: Mete Erkert (tenor sax, bass clarinet), Miguel Boelen (alto sax, soprano sax), Morris Kliphuis (horn, cornet), Joost Buis (trombone, lap steel), Albert van Veenendaal (piano), Dion Nijland (bass), Yonga Sun (drums), and Corri van Binsbergen (guitar and compositions). The band has released three albums: Live (nominated for the Edison Public Award in 2016), Tales Without Words (2017), and 10 (2018), featuring a 15-part suite commissioned by the Westerpark district.
