  • Jazz

In this performance, Soft Machine delivers a captivating blend of rock, jazz, and fusion, with saxophonist Theo Travis joining the band’s founding members for a sound that remains as unique and undefinable as ever.

Soft Machine, known for its constantly evolving lineup, has traversed a fascinating journey from experimental pop to a unique blend of free jazz and jazz-rock. After a series of personnel changes, the band went through many iterations, ultimately becoming Soft Machine Legacy in 2004 before returning to its original name in 2015. Featuring saxophonist Theo Travis alongside longtime members John Etheridge (guitar), John Marshall (drums), and Roy Babbington (bass), this performance captures the band's timeless, genre-defying mix of rock, jazz, and fusion that continues to captivate audiences over five decades after its formation.
