Kamerkoor NEXT was founded in 2015 by former members of the Utrechtse Studenten Cantorij. Alongside conductor Fokko Oldenhuis, they established a chamber choir for singers who had outgrown student choirs. The choir consists of approximately 32 young, ambitious singers between the ages of 25 and 45. Every week, they rehearse challenging programs of diverse classical choral music. They enjoy collaborating with professional musicians, contemporary composers, and artists from other disciplines such as dancers and writers.
