Geluiden van Lucht

In Geluiden van Lucht, inspired by Cees Nooteboom's poem on farewell, sound and image merge as Gavriel Lipkind directs a film-like performance with soprano, guitar, piano, and violin, captured in one take.

Inspired by a poem by Cees Nooteboom on the theme of farewell, the piece Geluiden van Lucht is written for soprano, (electric) guitar, piano, and violin. The composition is conceived as film music, rather than primarily a concert work, where sound and image are of equal importance. The film's direction and recording will be led by Gavriel Lipkind, taking place at the ConcertLab/Leeuwenbergh hall in Utrecht. Using a single camera with a 360-degree range across the length, width, and height of the space, the piece will be captured in one take, aiming to reach the heart of the poem.
