Heat & Memory
Heat and Memory delves into the elusive nature of time, blending playful and melancholic layers of sound through the violin of Emma Breedveld and live electronics by Gábor Tarján. A poetic, emotional exploration of how time shapes our world.
Heat and Memory is a captivating exploration of time through sound, blending emotional depth with a theatrical approach. Inspired by the theories of physicist Carlo Rovelli and Einstein's concept of time, this work reflects both the multi-layered nature of time and the human experience of it. Emma Breedveld (violin) and Gábor Tarján (electronics) immerse the audience in a world where time and tempo blur. As the violinist moves, plays, and even flutes, the composer controls the live electronics, creating layers of sound that are whimsical, playful, and full of longing. It’s a journey through sound, where events lead to other events, a poetic quest for the elusiveness of time.
