Anat Spiegel (IL/NL/ USA) is a composer and performer of new music, experimental opera and song. Her work stems from a vocal perspective and focuses on the endless expressions of the human voice. In the juxtaposition of jazz, theater and contemporary classical music, Spiegel's compositions consider the cultural gravity of songs and the act of singing itself. Whether through the lens of multidisciplinary creation or concert music, Spiegel's interest lay in the connection between written language and it's sounding expression.

Spiegel's instrumental compositions have been performed by leading ensembles including the Residentie Orkest, New European Ensemble, ONCIEM and Ensemble Klang.

Her multidisciplinary creations include the opera Medulla (La Monnaie), the electronic opera Before Present (Dutch National Opera and Amsterdam Dance Event), and the online opera The Transmigration of Morton F (Holland Festival).

Spiegel earned her Master's degree in Composition at the Royal Conservatory of The Hague.
