What began as an initiative by the community and friends of record store Velvet Music Leiden is now coordinated by a collective of local programmers and organisers. This evolution explains the distinctive broad spectrum of genres represented at the annual event. At Peel Slowly and See, the curious music enthusiast is invited to explore new horizons; from the latest buzzing UK-jazz groups to crackling indietronica, intriguing ethnic music, and wayward guitar bands. No one leaves the festival without discovering something outside of their regular musical comfort zone, including the performing artists. That’s a promise.
