75 Composer Improviser Night
An eclectic gathering of musicians, poets, and composers, led by Ig Henneman. The program features three premieres, improvisations, and poetic moments, blending classical and experimental sounds. A unique mix of altviool, organ, string quartet, woodwinds, and voice creates an atmosphere of exploration, introspection, and harmony.
For this event, Ig Henneman invited a poet and ten musicians: a wonderful mix of different backgrounds and ages. Ig himself on viola, two organists, a string quartet, flute, cello, clarinet/shakuhachi/tenor sax, plus voice, perform the works of the composers in various ensembles. The program includes three premieres, improvisations, earlier works, poetry, and spoken introductions by Henneman.
