New Music NOW presents its own recordings of memorable concerts from November Music 2024. In this episode: Ralph van Raat: Dutch Premieres, including interviews with the composers – part 2.

Six world premieres of Dutch piano music. Once again, pianist Ralph van Raat surpasses himself. As a pianist, Van Raat tirelessly advocates for contemporary music from both home and abroad. From unheard masterpieces to freshly composed piano works written specifically for him.

For instance, Robin de Raaff writes new work for Van Raat, who previously performed his two piano concertos. Composers such as Gerard Beljon and Anne-Maartje Lemereis aim for direct communication with the audience, while Peter Adriaansz maintains an exploratory approach.

All works are composed especially for Ralph van Raat.
