Emine Bostanci and Maya Fridman join forces in ‘Dareyn’, blending the ancient kemenche with cello and percussion, creating evocative dialogues filled with untold stories. This collaboration includes Modar Salama on percussion.
Emine Bostanci is an award-winning classical kemenche and Cretan lyra musician. Her project ‘Dareyn’ combines the ancient sound of the kemenche – originating from Istanbul and the Silk Road – with the modern sound of the cello. Together with cellist Maya Fridman, they blend their vocal talents with instrumental expertise, complemented by Modar Salama on percussion. Dareyn creates dialogues where untold stories settle in the imagination of the listener.
