Named after Frank Zappa's legendary and unplayable composition, the Black Page Orchestra from Vienna is known for its focus on radical and uncompromising new music. During the Saturday Night of Gaudeamus 2021, they performed a program centered around the theme of darkness. The concert featured compositions by Jenny Beck (Gaudeamus Award nominee), Aart Strootman (2017 Award winner), Andys Skordis, and Alessandro Baticci.
