My Voice Is In My Hands
- Solo/Duo
Giuliano Bracci's My Voice Is In My Hands is inspired by Emily Dickinson's Envelope Poems, while Trevor Grahl and animator Jiri Trnka created Ruka, a film about artistic oppression.
Composer Giuliano Bracci drew inspiration for his piece My Voice Is In My Hands from the Envelope Poems by Emily Dickinson: short poems written on recycled envelopes, addressed to no one and yet to everyone. Trevor Grahl composed Voor de Wind and collaborated with animator Jiri Trnka to create the animated music film Ruka, capturing the oppression of the artist through whispering and growling music.
