In Drying Down, Bec Plexus musically explores the evolving scent of a perfume on the skin, using complex Indian rhythms to express the unfolding sensation. The piece is performed by an ensemble conducted by Sebastiaan van Yperen.

Bec Plexus, known for her obsession with perfumes, translates the experience of a fragrance drying on the skin in Drying Down. The piece captures how the different notes of a perfume gradually unfold, an experience so intense for Plexus that she incorporates "terrifyingly" complex Indian rhythms for the musicians to play. The performance features Sebastiaan van Yperen conducting an ensemble with Ana dos Santos Silva Ribeiro (flute), Marieke Schut (oboe), Jan Harshagen (French horn), Joseph Puglia (violin), Jieun Kim (viola), and Wilma de Bruijn (cello).
